The Chapel at Garvan Woodland Gardens is a place for simple religious services, cultural events, and quiet meditation amidst the forested setting of the botanical gardens. From the native stone base, the wood structure rises fifty-seven feet to form a canopy over the worship space that seats up to 200 people. The wood columns branch, forming a lattice of ‘limbs’ overhead reminiscent of English Gothic fan vaulting. The Anthony Chapel received the Arkansas Chapter AIA Merit Award in 2007.
