Julia Thompson Smith Chapel "is the spiritual center of our campus .  It is a place of worship and provides space for prayer, meditation, contemplation and worship."Located in the heart of Agnes College the structure uses the language of brick to speak with the other buildings of the campus.The 44' deep by 33' wide by 50' tall sanctuary seats 115 people using individual seating.  A simple foyer connects the sanctuary to the forecourt and campus quad.  The lower level houses the interfaith/meditation space.  This space opens on three sides to the adjoining lawns.The series of brick walls create an expanding and contracting space.  The contracting walls filter views and activity from the busy forecourt, then expands to open the sanctuary to views of trees and lawn.
